Lunch is available Monday through Friday. Diners have a choice of a hot meal or cold alternate. Our Chef Anthony’s cuisine is superb and offers a delicious, nutritious menu each day. Reservations must be made one day prior. A $3.00 donation to cover basic costs is requested. Please Note: Menu subject to change without notice; cottage cheese or eggs & Diabetic dessert available.


The Center’s Bus (which seats 12 people) is available Monday through Friday and provides transportation to seniors who are unable to drive to and from the Center themselves. The bus leaves the Center at 8:45 AM and makes two morning trips bringing the seniors to the Center in time for the scheduled programs. It travels to Locust Valley, Bayville, Oyster Bay and East Norwich. 2 days a week, seniors from Syosset and Woodbury are picke up as well. Passengers leave the Center between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM to return to their homes. For bus transportation, reservations must be made one day prior by calling the Program Office at (516) 922-1770. A suggested donation of $2.00 round trip is requested.

Social Services

The Life Enrichment Center at Oyster Bay employs a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW). She offers extensive social service assistance to seniors who come to the Center directly or are referred by other agencies. Her knowledge and expertise in handling complex issues involving such areas as Medicaid, food stamps, Medicare and supplements, EPIC, HEAP, veterans benefits, tax abatement as well the myriad of other assistance programs available to low and moderate income individuals and families. She conducts Care Givers support groups and offers services to the homebound elderly as needed. A group of volunteers, Friendly Visitors, consists of seniors who visit five different nursing homes within the area, twice a month. At Christmastime and Easter, gourmet food gift baskets are delivered to the homebound. For more information, please call Beth at (516) 922-1770 ext. 305.

Elderly Transportation Service

Elderly Transportation Service (ETS) – To help keep our members healthy, we provide transportation to seniors who need assistance and do not have their own means of transportation for dental, medical and social service appointments. A suggested donation of $ .50 per mile is requested. Please call Mimi for reservation one week in advance. (516) 922-6422.

Visiting Registered Nurse

Visiting Registered Nurse visits the Center daily and provides blood pressure screenings. She will also answer any general medical questions seniors may have. During the fall we conduct a free flu clinic which is open to all seniors in the community.

Food Shopping Assistance

The Life Enrichment Center at Oyster Bay is now offering bus service to Oyster Bay Stop and Shop on Wednesdays after lunch. All you need to do is make a reservation for the bus a day in advance and also for lunch. Immediately after lunch, the bus will take you shopping and take you home afterwards.
